Age: 6 mo - 1 yr
Location: Baker City, Oregon
Special Needs: none
My name is Sandy and I am a young female Border Collie looking for a new home. I was found walking down the freeway in Eastern Oregon and nobody came back looking for me. So, here I am ready to find a new safe place to live. The veterinarian thinks that I am under one year old and I weigh 32 pounds. I have medium length hair. I just started my vaccinations and have been declared very healthy. I am too young to be spayed, but that will happen soon. I will be living in a foster home on a mini-ranch where I will be introduced to adults, children and other dogs of various sizes and breeds. i will be taught my basic commands and dog manners. I am very friendly and social and will learn more about myself once I am settled into my new foster home. I doubt that I was a ranch dog or someone would have come looking for me by now. I think that I will make an absolutely wonderful family pet. I have a very sleek and trim physique and believe that would do well in agility or other competitive activities where I can use my intelligence and athleticism. I will work hard to prove myself as a loyal family companion. I do need a secure fenced yard to keep me safe. However, I do not want to be a dog sitting alone in the back yard, but rather a member of the family living inside sleeping on my own bed, snuggled down with a family member enjoying the good life. I can become a walking, running or hiking companion and be loyal to you for many years to come. WE DO NOT TEXT, SO PLEASE CALL Best Friends of Baker at 541-519-7387 for more information or visit our website bestfriendsofbaker.org We will respond to all telephone calls and completed applications.
