Junior is a 4 year old, neutered male mini Australian shepherd. Junior found himself at a shelter after his owner died. We were asked to take him into foster care because he was not doing well at the shelter. How could we refuse? He is like a little lost soul.
This is a sweet, shy dog, weighing about 25 pounds. Very affectionate with people after he gets to know them a little. His right eye is marbled brown and blue. Junior is housetrained and likes to have the crate as a place to retreat to if things get busy in his foster home, so his foster mom leaves the door open for him. He is not crazy about being locked in the crate.
Junior doesn't like a lot of commotion so we are seeking a quiet home for him with someone that either works from home or is retired. He wants to be with his person all the time, if possible! No small children, please. Even though Junior gets along with most other dogs, we feel he would prefer to be an only dog or one of two. We have been told Junior gets along with cats!
Junior is a vocal dog. He is always making cute little noises to express himself. Sometimes with other dogs he will be grumbly. It's just his way of communicating. All the dogs in his foster home are fine with it, but because of this we do not consider Junior to be a candidate for the dog park. Some dogs take offense to the grumbling and might attack his little self!

Junior's adoption fee is $150. He is neutered and up to date on vaccinations.
