Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Scout and I am a 4 or 5 year old female Border Collie mix. I weigh 34 pounds so I am not a big dog. In fact I would be what you call stocky and short. We think I am mixed with Australian Shepherd. Just not sure. I have been living on a cattle ranch all my life until today when I went to a foster home I was a mediocre working dog on the ranch and lived with sister as an outdoor dog. I am timid and shy and have been submissive to my sister so need to be introduced slowly to other dogs in a potential family. My main problem is chasing cats. I killed a cat on the ranch and have started chasing them, so my owner is wanting me to find a forever home without cats. I have not been with any young children and think that I would do well with older children an adults in my new family. I have so much to give and a lot of love to share and become a loyal companion and family member. Living on the ranch, I had to live outside, not inside so I will need to be taught some house manners, basic commands, walking on a leash and potty training. I am extremely smart and learn things quickly so my transition into a family should be easy. I will need a secure fenced yard to keep me safe and away from cars, traffic and city noises. Please call soon as I really need to find a forever home. Our phone number is 541-519-7387 WE DO NOT TEXT, or visit our website bestfriendsofbaker.org for an adoption application. We respond to all completed applications.
