Baby "Ruth" is a 4 to 5 month old female Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler) recently rescued after falling out of a truck.  Baby Ruth is a very nice and friendly little girl that has not had much training in basic commands or behavior.  She is currently living in a foster home with two adults, two young children and lots of dogs, horses and chickens.  She will be taught to walk on a leash properly and start learning basic commands and house manners quickly.  She is slowly being introduced to dogs of various sizes, gender and breeds to learn to play and get along with them.  There are horses on the outside perimeter to her play area so she will learn about farm animals and loose chickens.  Ruth is extremely smart and will learn quickly as she prepares for a new forever home.  Ruth does require a secure fenced yard for her safety and lots of exercise.  Blue Heelers, much like Border Collies are high energy dogs and need daily exercise to keep them mentally and physically fit.  Ruth is current on her vaccinations and wormed and declared healthy by the veterinarian.  She is not spayed at this time.  Baby Ruth will make a great family pet, walking, runnng or hiking companion.  She might also do well in agility trials.  She cannot ever ride loose in the back of a truck again.  She needs to ride safely inside with her family members.  If you would like to learn more about Baby Ruth, please call Carmen at Best Friends of Baker, Inc. 541-519-4530 or Best Friends of Baker at 541-519-7387 or send us an application
