My name is Chevy and I am a three or four month old Australian Shepherd, looking for a forever home.  I was rescued and placed in a wonderful foster home with two adults, two grade school children and several dogs.  I am too young to be neutered,  but have started my vaccinations.  I am learning some manners and basic commands and how to get along with lots of dogs of various sizes and breeds. I also get along with a 20 pound cat.  I really enjoy playing in the large play area with the larger dogs and learning to behave properly around them.  I am almost house trained. I am learning the important things about being ready for adoption.  I know when to go to my bed and take my naps and lights out at night. I do require a secure fenced yard for for my safety and playtime. Remember I am a herding breed, but will not be adopted as a working ranch dog.  I think that I would make a great agility or fly ball competitor.  I also love the water in the kids wading pool.  Perhaps I could just be a family pet going on long walks, hikes, runs or camping.  I want a great family with or without children. Please do not expect me to ride in the back of a pickup or flatbed.  I will only ride inside the cab with my family.  For more information, please call Best Friends of Baker at 541-519-7387 or visit our website bestfriendsofbaker.org for an adoption application.  WE DO NOT TEXT.
