3/17/13  Esther has an adoption pending.

Thank you to everyone who submitted an application and to those that donated to help cover her medical costs.

Update 3/6/13:

We thank everyone who has helped with Esther's expenses.  We are close to covering them now.

We also have some very nice applications for Esther and will begin the process of screening and choosing a new home and family for Esther shortly.  We want everyone to know that all applications will be considered but we can only choose one.

UPDATE 3/3/13:

Esther's mom has now passed away and is finished with this portion of her life...

Esther continues to heal up well and it looks like about a month and she'll be healed up fine.

We thank you for her continued support and we still have a balance of about $400 in veterinary costs.

Esther will also still need to be spayed prior to being made available for adoption.

Esther's mom is very ill, is hospitalized and can no longer care for Esther.

When the paramedics took Esther's mom to the hospital, Esther got her back leg caught under an aluminum door.  She received a "glove type" injury which literally tore the skin and hide off her leg and foot.  Think about peeling a latex glove off and that is what this injury was like.

Ester is healing up fine but her medical bills are substantial as the tissue continues to be pulled and stretched back over as it grows.  She sees the veterinarian every week for dressing change and tightening.  Esther's veterinary costs are over $700 and we're asking for your support in paying her medical bills.

We believe that Esther is a mini Border Collie/Aussie as she is very tiny and weighs about 19 pounds.

Esther is not available for adoption at this time but will be when she is completely healed.
