Looking for an agility or freestyle partner?  Have you ever wondered what a Border Collie x Jack Russell Terrier would look and act like like?  Well, this one turned out pretty darn nice.  She is well socialized, friendly, and spunkier than her current owners have time for.      

Olive is a 2 year old female Border Collie/Wire hair Jack Russell that weighs about 30 pounds.  Olive has medium length hair with a long tail.  Olive is spayed, vaccinated, house trained, knows commands and has great house manners.  Olive walks very well on a leash and loves to ride inside the car.  Olive is currently with an older couple that does not feel they are meeting her needs. 

Being a Border Collie and Jack Russell mix, Olive is very active and energetic.  She needs a family that has time to exercise and play with her.  She needs a job or daily activity to keep her from getting bored.  As smart and well-behaved as Olive is, she would do well in agility or obedience competition.  Olive is very friendly and social and likes everyone she meets.  Olive gets along well with cats and dogs of all sizes and she loves to run and play with any that will play with her.  She also likes both men and women, but her main caregiver has been the man in the family.  Olive would love to have a family with children, other dogs and especially a secure fenced yard where she can be an indoor/outdoor dog.

Sara has returned from her adoptive home as she did not get along with their small dog and was very excited by boisterous games of adults and kids and would chase and even grip sometimes.   She was getting used to the cat but I believe that very much depends on the cat and it would probably be better if she didn't have to deal with cats.  She is housebroken, sits on command, comes when called, and is relearning walking on a leash. She is crate trained but likes a soft cushy bed.  As you can see she is a pretty dog.  She likes being with people, just not ones that are boisterous.  Her ideal home would be with adults who all love her, want to take the time to train with her, and understand herding dogs.  She is not super active so would be a good house dog.  She likes toys and balls, especially a squeaky ball. Shawnee is an active, friendly, smart BC/ Aussie mix.  Her coloring is tri-color and a very pretty girl she is.  At her vet visit she was deemed healthy and about 9 mos. old.  She is now about 11  months old.  She is up to date on vaccinations and was spayed a week ago. She gets along well with our other dogs and is playful if they are willing to play.  She likes her rawhide chew rolls but will allow them to be taken from her and, although she is very food oriented, she is learning to sit and wait for her food to be put in her bowl and for her release word. She shows no food aggression except with other dogs which is normal and within acceptable limits. She does not try to eat other dog's food if they are eating.  She has been learning to walk on a leash, sit and down, stay, and come when called.  Like most youngsters her age, she is distractable and not entirely reliable if there is something really interesting going on elsewhere. She is agile and will need a well fenced yard. Happy in the country or the city Ramsey is ready for hiking, trips to the river for a swim, walks, endless games of fetch and cuddles at night. What more could you want in a canine pal? 

Ramsey is a handsome medium drive 5 year old pure bred border collie. He does well with dogs and children. Ramsey loves the water, the beach and going anywhere with his family. He is a well socialized companion and great running and hiking partner. Cats are just too tempting for him to chase so a no cat home is required. He does fine with farm animals.

Sweep is a nine month old BC from ranching stock. He is neutered, UTD on shots, microchipped and wormed.  Sweep loves people and knows basic commands. 

He needs an active home that know that BCs need jobs.  He would be an excellent agility, herding, SARS etc dog. He would love to be your hiking buddy.   He loves people and toys.  He plays well with the other dogs.  He is very smart and very fun but he is such a teenager.  He is going to be a great training partner. 

Sweep can't be left alone in the yard all day.  He WILL get into trouble if left alone for hours outside.  He will dig and chew.  Did we say he is a teenager?  Yep.  He did have a run in with some chickens so probably a home without poultry would be the best match for him. 

He won't be adopted out as an outdoor only dog.  Dogs need to be inside where it is safe and warm and they can be with their people.

Billy is a fun, young BC.   He is ten months old and was living in an apartment before coming here.  He literally wore a path through the carpet on his rounds.  He is high energy and has lots of smarts.  He is a beautiful rough coat full BC with one blue eye and one brown.  He came from a rancher as a pup.  He loves people and is fine with other dogs in a boisterous, young male BC way.  He is UTD on vaccines, microchipped and wormed.  He weighs about 38 pounds and will probably fill out as he matures. 

This boy will not be adopted to an apartment life.  He needs fun in the sun with lots of hikes and some work to do.  He loves to play and would make an excellent agility, frisbee or SARs dog. 

He won't be adopted out as an outdoor only dog.  Dogs need to be inside where it is safe and warm and they can be with their people.

Mia is one high-energy loving little girl looking for an active home. Agility? You betcha – she has a ton of potential. She is fast, agile, and able to leap tall buildings in a single bound (ok, we haven’t seen her leap any buildings, but have seen her jump a good 10’ across a creek!) Frisbee? Absolutely! She can jump and spin and with a little coaching would be great at Frisbee! A good old game of fetch? Bring it on – but you might want to get one of those long distance ball flingers cuz this girl can RUN! An afternoon at the dog park? You will proudly have the quickest dog in the park -the only one likely to keep up would be another Border Collie! Hiking? Jogging? Long walks? Mia loves it all – but most of all she just loves being with you and making you happy. Mia gets along great with other dogs, but has not yet been tested with kids or cats. She is crate trained, leash trained, housebroken, rides well in the car and is super smart. In less than a week in her foster home she has almost mastered sitting and waiting to go in and out of doors, her crate, and for her meals – we say almost just because sometimes puppy enthusiasm gets the best of her! She loves to be active, but she is just as happy chillin at your feet and getting some love -this is one adorable little cuddle bug who just wants to lean on your leg and get pets or crawl into your lap for some lovin’. Make Mia a part of your family and she will reward you with laughs, loyalty, love, and so much more.
