Hey there:  My name is Lina and I am a 9 month old spayed female Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mix.  I am looking for a forever home with a family who will accept a special needs dog.  I was hit by a car and had my left hind leg amputated.  Fortunately I was found and taken to a rescue where I was provided medical care and surgery and  placed up for adoption.  I was adopted by a family who thought that I needed to be with an older, inactive person as a service dog.  Well that did not work out.  Just because I only have three legs did not mean that I can't run, chase, play and do all the things the other dogs do.  Anyway, I convinced them that I needed a secure fenced yard where I will be safe and unable to wander away and an active family that can keep up with me.  I am currently living in a home with adults and other dogs and doing very well.  I am a house pet and hope to remain inside with my adoptive family.  I do not want to be left outside all alone looking in at my people.  I do know a few commands and learning more everyday. I am also house trained.  I do walk on a leash but still need more work and I ride very well inside of a vehicle. I am spayed and current on my vaccinations. If you would like to learn more about me or want an application, please call Best Friends of Baker, Inc. at 541-519-7387.  I am ready to go!!!
